i guide you to feel the space in your body, the sacredness of you & the connection between you and the universe in every moment of stillness, every movement & in every single breath that you take.
yoga
it is hard to describe this powerful and diverse practice… it is best that you experience it !
yoga in sanskrit derives from the word yuj - to yoke, or join. it takes the mind, the body and joins it to the soul or more importantly to the universe!
asana is the expression of the mind-body integration, the connection with the earth, our nurturer, only a small part that we practice of this energetic spiritual practice.
the soul, is connected through the use of pranayama (life force control/breathing) and finally meditation.
each class has each of these techniques and more to allow you to be, well, YOU!

created by shiva rea, prana vinyasa yoga® is a creative practice that allows its practitioner to be taken for a journey through fluid movement, music, nature through the elements (earth, fire, air, water, space) and prana our strongest life force.
i can guide you through this practice in a solar or lunar way depending on the seasons/needs of each practitioner.
think about dancing with the universe.
training:
i met shiva in 2017 when i took my first yoga teacher training, i had never practiced a yoga that opened up so much space in my body. a yoga that gave me the connection to the world we live in. a yoga that made me feel, authentically ME!
i have been training with continuously shiva since i met her in sydney, 2017.

the jivamukti yoga method is a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings. it is a rigorous practice where the goal of the practice - enlightenment - is remembered throughout by the teacher and student alike.
in sanskrit; jiva means individual & mukti - liberation, in other words this practice is a path to free the soul from limited living…
there are 5 tenants involved in each practice; bhakti (devotion - in your intention for your practice, something greater than yourself), ahimsa (non harming - to oneself and others), nada (music - a special playlist for each class), dhyana (meditation - speaks for itself) & shastra (scripture - inspirational texts and the call of omm).
training:
i have been practicing jivamukti since my obsession with yoga began, it is the practice that created my love for yoga, after many years of hoping and wishing, i finally took the 300h training in mid 2021.

what do we need more than to be still and observe our body. Sometimes this is pleasure, other times it feels intolerable. and unlike meditation, we have the affect of the physical body relaxing, decompressing, opening the fascia, muscles and joints, and then on the subtle level, the chinese meridians working into the qi or life force (similar to prana in hatha, vinyasa yoga) in each asana. this allows us to focus on the sensations in the physical relm, the breath, and the chatter of the mind.
asana in stillness is a chance to unfurl the body and mind to tend to the life fire that is inherently in each of us.
in each class we come into the pose at the depth that you feel like you can sustain, and then we surrender, we open space in our body, we respect and listen to our body and then we are still, in a silent comfort.
training:
i have been an avid practitioner of yin for many years, i have to admit, at the beginning of my journey, that i disliked feeling, disliked to be that deep into my body, and to my mind. but as i continued to go to class, and as i found the right teachers, the right breath, the right time, i began to really feel the effects of this powerful form of yoga.
i took my 50hr yin yoga training with gemma vassallo in 2020.

finding a true refuge within, allowing your mind and body to relax on the outside, whilst healing on the inside. it is not about sitting still, it is about feeling the movement within.

breathing is something that we do everyday. however do any of us know what it takes to be a healthy human being?
it takes the breath, consciously breathing until we breathe as though we are not breathing at all.
the breath can flush the system, it can make us relax, it can make us struggle, it can give us ease.
yoga is the best tool to begin to understand the movement between body, mind & soul it is the way to have access to all the power that is within you, a way to access your authentic self.
