created by joseph pilates in the 1920s. this practice is a full body conditioning workout that works on muscle strength, length and endurance. focused on a flexible spine, aligning the body & strengthening the deep core muscles of the abdominals, hips, back, buttocks & legs. each class is dynamic and energising helping you to transform your body!

i found pilates in my late teens, on the reformer machines - what a treat, and wow did my body change, i was stronger, leaner, fitter, my confidence oozed out of me! in 2020 after the first lockdown, i suffered from injuries from over stretching and not enough strengthening, including issues with my shoulders & hips, with yoga not being enough to condition and strengthen my body, i turned back to pilates, but this time, because we were at home, on the mat ! i slowly started to heal my injuries and to be frank, i learnt that I have been breathing the wrong way my whole life. the inner workings of the diaphragm and the perineum, thank you pilates (and yoga also).
